Cooperative Development Cooperation
"Together we are stronger!" This cooperative principle shapes development work with cooperatives. Not only individual cooperatives are supported, but above all cooperative association structures and joint enterprises.
In addition to advising governments and authorities to improve the legal and institutional framework for cooperatives in the respective partner countries, partners worldwide value the cooperation based on mutual respect, professional expertise, and the reliability of the support provided.
The goal is to strengthen cooperatives so that they can promote active participation by local people and thereby contribute to sustainable development. By improving living conditions, this work also helps reduce poverty. The development work of the International Relations Department of the DGRV is characterized by:
- Over 40 years of experience in cooperative development cooperation in more than 50 countries of the Global South
